Underground Living Is Quickly Surfacing
Futuristic shows from the nineteen fifties depicting things like flying automobiles, pills that cure disease, and subterranean inhabitable worlds were thought of as revolutionary. And the actual time frame for some of these developments ranged between fifty to hundreds of years. Well, automobiles don’t fly just yet. Come to think of it neither do pigs, but subterranean inhabitable worlds? It’s already started. Underground living has been in production for quite a while.

Underground Living
Of course there are underground bunkers for national security that have been in existence for years, but as far as fully functioning cities that create and recycle oxygen and temperature control, providing protection from environmental upheaval like tornadoes, earthquakes, and tsunamis, we are about halfway there. There are underground subway systems and stations, shopping malls, and adjoining roads for hundreds of thousands of passengers linking blocks-long sections of cities all over the world. France, Chile, Italy, Germany, Canada, Japan, and Australia are some of the countries that have either existing or progressing subterranean city portions. There are plans all over the Internet from all over the world to move a good portion of societies’ business districts underground to provide overpopulation relief. Minds are thinking, imagination is creating, and planning is initiating.
Residential underground living is already in practice, has in fact been for several decades. Families have constructed homes for subterranean function using several different construction methods. Some include Elevational, which is building the house into the side of a hill or mountain leaving one side open to topographical contact, and Atrium or Courtyard, building underground rooms around a courtyard area that implements natural light. The future of the past is not quite upon us as of yet, but it is coming. Today underground living, tomorrow, cloud cities!
